Navigation & Information Architecture

One of the first priorities was reorganizing the site’s navigation and information architecture to better support the platform’s diverse audiences and large volume of educational content. By refining audience pathways and restructuring the sitemap, the experience was designed to help users more quickly understand what the organization offers and how to access the resources most relevant to them, improving discoverability while creating clearer relationships between informational and functional areas of the platform

Wireframing & Content Structure

During the wireframing phase, I focused on creating flexible layouts that could better support the site’s dense educational and technical content while establishing a clearer structure for how information is introduced, grouped, and consumed across the experience. To support consistency and scalability, I developed a modular component system that allowed content-heavy pages to feel more organized and digestible while still accommodating a variety of layouts and content types.

Visual System & Inclusive Design

I developed two visual concepts for the redesign, with the final direction focusing on a clean, approachable aesthetic centered around USREPS’ bright turquoise brand palette. Drawing from the diagonal forms within the logo, I incorporated angled graphic elements and custom iconography throughout the interface to create a more cohesive visual language, while updated typography, accessible color usage, and inclusive imagery helped modernize the experience and better reflect the organization’s broad audience.

Improved Registration Search Experience

A primary focus of the redesign was improving the usability and performance of the employee verification tool, a core functional component of the site. The search experience was refined through clearer input states, streamlined interactions, and optimized result presentation, enabling faster and more accurate verification across desktop and mobile.

Designed for Clarity & Access

The updated website transformed USREPS’ digital presence, making their vast resources easier to navigate and their mission more clearly communicated. Visitors now experience a modern, inclusive interface that allows them to efficiently access tools, resources, and verification services—all organized with clarity and purpose.
