Scott Cohen
I have the privilege of knowing the famous actor, Scott Cohen. We had the great opportunity to work together in building his actor portfolio and coaching website. Scott Cohen is known for his extensive work in film, television, and theater. His site needed to serve a dual purpose: showcase his multimedia portfolio and promote his coaching and mentoring services to aspiring performers.
Goal: Create a clear, engaging way to explore Scott’s acting career and coaching services.
Outcome: Organized his content into a cohesive experience that makes both sides of his work easy to explore.

Balancing Legacy & Mentorship
One of the core challenges was designing for dual identity—artist and coach—without allowing one to overshadow the other. His portfolio needed to feel expansive and cinematic, while his coaching presence required clarity, warmth, and approachability.
The site also had to support a wide range of media, including video, photography, interviews, testimonials, and press. Creating cohesion across these formats while guiding users toward his mentorship offerings became a central focus of the experience.

I began with a deep dive into Scott’s career and teaching philosophy, shaping a content strategy rooted in storytelling and emotional impact. His vision leaned toward a dark, cinematic aesthetic - capturing the mystery and imaginative depth of the acting craft.
From brand direction through wireframes to final build, I prioritized seamless media integration and a refined visual system. Each decision was made to support both immersion and usability, resulting in an experience that reflects his artistic presence while reinforcing his credibility as a coach and mentor.
Design Execution
I designed the interface to place Scott Cohen’s work at the forefront, using a dark, cinematic aesthetic to evoke a sense of mystery and emotional depth. This direction aligned with his view of acting as an immersive, imaginative craft. Expressive imagery was paired intentionally to capture a range of emotional states, and copy leaned into the language of performance: awe, tension, and intrigue.
Across the site, I balanced visual richness with restraint throughout — subtle branding, clean navigation, and deliberate dark-space kept the experience clear within a media-heavy layout.
Coaching Experience
I structured the coaching experience to clearly communicate value while maintaining the emotional tone of Scott Cohen’s artistic brand. This included organizing his philosophy, offerings, and testimonials into a narrative flow that builds trust before introducing calls to action.
Impact & Outcome
Elevating Scott’s digital presence, gave equal weight to his artistic legacy and his role as a coach. Since launch, it has received positive feedback for its clarity, ease of navigation, and refined visual tone—resonating with both fans and aspiring performers. It now serves as a central platform for promoting his workshops, events, and ongoing coaching practice.
